tree Pet Insurance is designed for cat and dog owners in Saudi Arabia. We offer policy types Accident Only or Accident & Illness, and three plans: Essential, Premium, and Royal. Pick the plan that best suits your pet.
What’s the difference between Accident Only and Accident & Illness coverage?
Accident Only: This plan covers vet treatment for accidental injuries like fractures, cuts, and other injuries caused by accidents.
Accident & Illness: This plan covers vet treatment for accidental injuries like fractures, cuts, and other injuries caused by accidents, plus coverage for many illnesses like infections, allergies, and skin problems.
How much does pet insurance cost?
The price of your policy depends on your pet’s age, breed, and which plan you pick. You can get a quote right away when you apply online.
Which pets can I insure?
You can insure your cat or dog if they live in Saudi Arabia and meet these requirements: They are at least 16 weeks old, are microchipped, and have an annual health check completed by a licensed veterinarian.
Can I insure more than one pet?
Yes, you can insure more than one pet. Each pet will need its own policy. You can also pick a different plan for each pet.
Plans & Coverage
What's the difference between the Essential, Premium, and Royal plans?
Essential covers eligible treatment costs for accidental injuries, such as fractures and cuts.
Premium includes everything in the Essential plan, plus cover for eligible illnesses and additional benefits.
Royal includes everything in the Premium plan, with higher coverage limits and benefit amounts.
How long does my policy last, and when does cover start?
Your policy is valid for one year. If you're insuring your pet for the first time, cover starts 45 days after your policy start date or your pet's clinical exam date, whichever is later. If you renew your policy, your cover starts immediately.
What does my policy cover if my pet is injured in an accident?
All plans cover veterinary treatment costs for accidental injuries, including diagnostics, surgery, hospitalization, and emergency transport if needed. If you have a dog, your policy also covers Third-Party Liability if your dog accidentally injures someone or damages property.
What does my policy cover if my pet gets sick?
Premium and Royal plans cover treatment costs for illnesses, including diagnostics, medication, surgery, and hospital stays, if they are eligible.
The Essential plan does not cover illnesses. Some conditions are excluded from all plans. You can find full details in your policy.
What is the annual coverage limit?
The annual coverage limit is the maximum amount your policy will pay towards eligible treatment during a single policy year. The limit depends on the plan you choose.
I adopted a pet and don't know its medical history. What should I do?
Before taking out a policy, arrange a full health check with a licensed veterinarian. This helps identify pre-existing conditions, which aren't covered by your policy.
What happens if my dog injures someone or damages their property?
All plans include Third-Party Liability cover for dog owners in Saudi Arabia.
If your dog accidentally injures someone or damages their property, your policy covers eligible compensation and legal costs awarded by a Saudi court up to your policy limits.
What happens if my pet dies because of an accident?
Your policy includes compensation based on your pet's purchase price (subject to proof of purchase) and a contribution towards burial costs within your policy limits.
Are vaccinations covered?
Yes. Vaccinations are covered under the Premium and Royal plans, subject to your policy limits.
Are hereditary conditions covered?
No. Hereditary conditions, congenital conditions, and birth defects aren't covered under your policy.
Do I need to visit a specific vet?
Yes. You'll need to visit one of the licensed veterinary clinics in our network across Saudi Arabia to use your cover.

Claims and cancellations
How do I submit a claim?
tree Pet Insurance works on a reimbursement basis. You pay the veterinary clinic first, then submit your claim and invoice through our website or app within 30 days of the incident
How will I receive my reimbursement?
Once we receive your claim and all required documents, we will review it and process your reimbursement. If approved, the reimbursement will be transferred directly to your bank account. Reimbursements are paid to the policyholder, not to the veterinary clinic or any other party.
Do I need to pay a co-payment (deductible) for each claim?
Is there a co-payment (deductible) per claim?
Yes, each claim has a co-payment share you pay yourself and is shown on your policy schedule. 20% co-Insurance payment Is applicable to pets under the age of 4 years at Inception, otherwise 30%.
What documents do I need to submit a claim?
You need the original invoices, your pet's complete medical records, the latest health check report, proof of microchip, and a clear photo of your pet. In some cases, we may ask for additional documents to support your claim.
Can I cancel my policy?
Yes. You can cancel your policy anytime, as long as you have no open or pending claims. Your refund depends on how long your policy has been active. If you have submitted a claim, you are not eligible for a refund.
