What is a medical error?
A medical error is any action or decision made by a healthcare professional that causes harm to a patient. This includes errors in diagnosis, treatment, or medical procedures.
Who is this product for?
This insurance is designed for licensed healthcare professionals in Saudi Arabia, including doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and other licensed healthcare professionals.
Is Medical Malpractice Insurance mandatory in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Medical Malpractice Insurance is required under Saudi regulations. All licensed healthcare professionals must have valid coverage, whether they work in the public or private sector.
What plan options do tree offers?
You can build your plan in three simple steps:
Choose your policy term (1 to 5 years).
Select your Limit of Indemnity.
Choose your Annual Aggregate Limit.
The cost of your policy depends on the options you choose.
What is the Limit of Indemnity?
The Limit of Indemnity is the maximum amount your policy will pay for a single claim. You can choose from four options based on your specialty and level of risk.
What is the Annual Aggregate Limit?
The Annual Aggregate Limit is the maximum amount your policy will pay for all claims made during a single policy year. You can choose from three options based on your specialty and level of risk.
What are the benefits of a multi-year policy?
If you choose a policy term of two to five years, your coverage and policy price remain fixed throughout the selected period. Your Annual Aggregate Limit resets at the beginning of each policy year, giving you a new limit every 12 months. You also won't need to renew your policy every year.
When does my policy actives?
Your coverage begins on the date you select, as shown in your policy schedule.
Where is my coverage valid?
Your policy covers medical services you provide within Saudi Arabia. It does not cover claims or legal actions arising outside Saudi Arabia.
Are legal defense costs deducted from my Coverage Limit?
Yes. Legal defense costs, including lawyers' fees, expert witness fees, and court costs, as well as any court-awarded compensation, all count toward your Coverage Limit. Choosing a higher Coverage Limit gives you greater financial protection if you face a costly claim.
