Senior Product Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Organizational
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
- Understand and support inter-team dependencies, and escalate issues as needed
Managerial
- Track progress towards the release of a product
- Manage cross-functional coordination to test and validate new ideas, features and capabilities through all release phases including requirements, design, specifications, development timelines, and deployment
- Ensure the squads are fully up to date with latest context and specific tasks
- Ensures that Project deliverables are of the desired quality and have appropriate endorsements
- Prioritize and lead the execution of innovative product development together with Design and Engineering while assessing business value and aligning with strategy.
Functional
- Understand key business objectives and strategy of the product.
- Provide target vision on final output and features (product backlog) and share expertise on product specifications, business requirements and customer needs
- Conduct data analysis and interpret data to answer key business questions.
- Integrate user and usability research, market analysis and customer feedback into the product development roadmap.
- Interface cross-functionally with marketing and customer success to align new and future product releases.
- Define and understand metrics to measure the success of new product launches.
- Lead squad events (e.g. daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review)
- Actively manage the JIRA backlog defining user stories and acceptance criteria and refining with the team
- Work with developers and subject-matter experts to understand the work effort for a requirement.
- Set and communicate release date and scope with the squad.
- Create mockups and prototypes to assist with the development.
- Lead and coordinate troubleshooting of incidents during product testing prior to release .
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business administration or related qualification
- Experience in related field: Minimum 5 years of experience and above
- Proven experience in a product strategy or requirements intake role (e.g. business analyst)
- Experience in agile development with technology teams
- Prior exposure to the Insurance is a plus
- Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies and systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic
